Aberlour 12 Years Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

WE 90-95  Nosing passes find delicious aromas of roasted chestnuts, nectarines, apricots, banana, traces of jasmine, unbaked bread dough and yeast, and light honey. Palate entry is assertive and caramel sweet; midpalate is more integrated as layers of sweet grain and toffee intermingle with dried fruits (prunes), oaky spice and marzipan. Concludes sweet, oaky and a touch Sherried. (12/ 2009) -Wine Enthusiast, 90-95 Points Matured in 2 cask types, traditional oak casks and the finest of Sherry casks. These casks are specially selected by our master distiller Douglas Cruickshank to be filled and quietly aged in our warehouses.
