Hall Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon

Hall Wines was founded by Kathryn Walt Hall and her husband, Craig after she inherited vineyards from her father who was a grape-grower in Mendocino County for several decades. The winery is located just south of downtown St. Helena in California’s Napa Valley, and they specialize in Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc.

 

This wine is deep garnet in color, exhibiting aromatic layered notes of dried fig, blackcurrant, black pepper, wet gravel, and dried basil. Mouth coating flavors of blackberry preserves, tobacco, anise, cocoa, and nutmeg develop on the palate. With a full spectrum of tannins, the wine is powerful, chewy, and round in texture integrating into a long smooth finish.
