Planteray Single Cask Barbados Rum

Once Plantation Rum, we are now Planteray Rum. Still a family business and still championing the great terroirs of rum.

 

This rum from the Stade’s West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados spent its final 2 years and 2 months of maturation in Marsala wine casks.

Tasting notes:

 

Color: Amber

Nose: Elegant and vinous, with fruity, earthy, and mineral impressions. Oak, almond, caramel, cinnamon and vanilla provide a refined backdrop, complemented by elegant spiciness and smokiness.

 

Palate: Structured and complex, it features a blend of fruits, with plum taking center stage, along with tobacco and leather adding depth. Custard and baking spices bring warmth, followed
by liquorice, pepper, bay leaf, and coffee.

 

Finish: Very long on butterscotch and cedar, graphite and thyme honey followed by banana, nutmeg, and milk chocolate.
